    Description

Explore, measure and understand radio frequency circuits with this versatile 18-in-1 RF testing and calibration kit, designed for NanoVNA vector network analysers.

The NanoVNA RF Test & Calibration board is an essential hands-on learning and diagnostic accessory for RF enthusiasts, electronics engineers, amateur radio operators and hardware researchers. Featuring 18 integrated test modules, this compact board enables practical experimentation with RF filters, signal attenuation, impedance matching, RLC circuits and network analyser calibration.

Designed for use with NanoVNA-H, NanoVNA-F and other compatible vector network analysers, the kit provides a convenient platform for visualising how electronic circuits respond to different frequencies.

Whether you're learning RF fundamentals, developing wireless hardware or improving your measurement techniques, this test board makes complex RF concepts easier to explore.

    Key Features

    • 18 integrated RF test modules: Explore a variety of passive RF networks and circuit characteristics.

    • Four dedicated RF filters: Test 30MHz low-pass, 100MHz high-pass, 433MHz SAW band-pass and 6.5MHz ceramic band-stop filters.

    • Impedance and RLC analysis: Experiment with resistor, inductor and capacitor networks, including series and parallel configurations.

    • Calibration reference circuits: Dedicated Open, Short and Load circuits support VNA familiarisation and measurement practice.

    • Attenuation testing: Investigate signal loss and attenuation across different frequencies.

    • Real-world RF measurements: Observe S-parameters, insertion loss, return loss, impedance and SWR using a compatible VNA.

    • Includes two U.FL patch cables: Connect the board to your measurement equipment using suitable RF interfaces.

    • Compact and portable: Lightweight PCB design makes it ideal for the workbench, classroom or mobile electronics toolkit.

Filter frequencies are nominal. Actual measurements depend on component tolerances, cable losses, calibration quality and the capabilities of the connected VNA.

    Technical Requirements

    • Compatible NanoVNA or vector network analyser with appropriate measurement frequency coverage.

    • Suitable RF cables and adapters for connecting U.FL interfaces to the analyser.

    • Basic familiarity with VNA calibration and frequency sweeps is recommended.

    Firmware & Software

No firmware or software installation is required for the RF Demo Kit itself.

The board operates as a passive RF testing accessory and can be used with compatible NanoVNA firmware and PC analysis software.

Depending on your analyser, available measurements may include:

    • S11 – Return loss, reflection coefficient and impedance.

    • S21 – Transmission response, insertion loss and attenuation.

    • VSWR – Voltage Standing Wave Ratio.

    • Smith charts – Visual representation of complex impedance.

    • Frequency sweeps – Filter response and resonance analysis.

    How to Use

    1. Connect the test board: Attach the supplied U.FL patch cables to the selected RF test module and connect them to your NanoVNA using suitable adapters.

    2. Calibrate your analyser: Perform the appropriate VNA calibration across your intended measurement range.

    3. Select a module: Choose from the available filter, RLC, attenuation or reference circuits.

    4. Configure the frequency sweep: Select a frequency range suitable for the circuit being tested.

    5. Perform measurements: Observe impedance, return loss, insertion loss, SWR or filter characteristics.

    6. Compare results: Experiment with different modules to understand how components influence RF signal behaviour.
